A Film Diary

+ high-res version

Watched: 7 October

I very much enjoyed Lord and Miller’s The Lego Movie when I finally caught up with it last year, but this… well I was very much in the ‘please make it stop’ camp while it played, even though I did persevere to the end. There is obviously sharp wit at play, and some rather insightful satire at the expense of Batman, Joker and superhero stories more generally, but it’s so busy and relentless that it began to get on my nerves after about 15 minutes and although I never actually got a headache I was both dazed and irritated for the following hour or so. I bought the Lego Batman movie for my 18 year old son for Christmas. I’d suggest adding a LIKE button to your posts!
